Project "The Port of Santos: Sailing through
History"
Developed by Santos Brasil and Neotropica Editora Multimídia,
this project was created to assist Elementary and Secondary school
teachers in the classroom. It consists of three resources: an
interactive DVD (documentary), a manual for teachers, and a map
with historical references. Together, these resources bring
information of historical and cultural interest, focusing on the
history of the port and the estuary region.

"Na Mão Certa" (In the Right Direction)
Project:
Santos Brasil has joined the Program "Na Mão Certa" (In the
Right Direction) of Childhood Brasil - Brazilian representative of
the World Childhood Foundation. The main objective of the project
is to join forces and mobilize governments, companies and
organizations of civil society, to promote effective ways of
combating sexual exploitation of children and young people on the
Brazilian highways. The intention is to raise awareness of the
problem among Brazilian truck drivers, encouraging them to take
action, together with protection bodies, to eliminate sexual
exploitation.
Escola Santos Brasil Formare
school
In partnership with the Iochpe Foundation, Santos Brasil
maintains the Escola Santos Brasil Formare school, which provides
vocational training for low-income young people. Volunteer
employees teach lessons. There are currently two classes of about
20 students each, in the cities of Guarujá and Santos (SP). The
initiative aims at social inclusion and professional training in
port and logistic careers, besides encouraging the voluntary
work.
Pastoral da Criança (Child's Pastoral)
The Company is a sponsor of the Programa Pastoral da Criança
(Child's Pastoral Program) in the Vicente de Carvalho region, in
the city of Guarujá. The company maintains a house, adapted to the
Pastoral needs and pursuant to Anvisa's requirements, for
multi-mixture and all Pastoral programs to be carried out with the
necessary comfort and safety. In addition, the monthly sponsorship
allows this immense solidarity network, consisting of 120
volunteers, to monitor 1,400 children and their 1,016 families,
seeking the full development and combating child malnutrition, from
conception to six years of age, in its family and community
context, from preventive measures, such as monthly weighing,
awareness regarding the appropriate use of food, hygiene, and
citizenship.
