09/05/2016 - Santos Brasil grew 9.5% in containers handled in Q1 2016
Santos Brasil closed the first quarter of 2016 with a 9.5%
growth in operated volume, totaling 228,228 containers handled in
its three terminals - Santos (São Paulo State), Imbituba (Santa
Catarina State) and Vila do Conde (Pará State).

The R$ 1.276 billion investment
plan for the expansion and modernization of the terminal has also
been approved; the work will begin in 2016 for preparing the
terminal to service the megaships operating at the Santos complex
after the deepening of the access channel.
