An international reference in security

08/11/2016 09:00

Santos Brasil welcomed federal police representatives from Belgium, Bolivia and Peru at Tecon Santos - the largest container terminal in South America, for an interchange in port security matters. During the visits, which took place in the second half of the year, a presentation was made on the practices, structure, indicators and the prevention model adopted in the terminal.

For the Santos Brasil Property Security Manager Anderson Fagundes, the presence of international officials at Tecon is the recognition of an intense and innovative work that began many years ago. ¿Our objective is to act in a preventive manner in order to anticipate possible losses and maintain a high level of security. Such a management model makes us a reference in the matter, both domestically and internationally¿, he points out. In addition to international meetings, the company was visited in 2016 by representatives of the Brazilian Navy and officials from the National Commission for Public Security in Ports, Terminals and Waterways (Conportos) and the State Commission for Public Security in Ports, Terminals and Waterways (Cesportos).
