Sustainability Reports

Sustainability Governance

Sustainability is a core pillar of Santos Brasil's strategy, guiding our actions and business decisions.

Our Sustainability Policy sets the guidelines for implementing best ESG (environmental, social, and governance) practices.

The continuous advancement of our initiatives is overseen by the Sustainability Committee, chaired by the CEO. This committee meets regularly to evaluate progress, set targets, and develop action plans. It is also responsible for approving sustainability strategies related to our stakeholders. For more information, visit the Governance Section of the Sustainability Report..

Commitments

We have been signatories of the United Nations Global Compact since 2013 and actively support four key initiatives:

+Water Movement: Ensure water security and access to natural water resources.

Net Zero Ambition Movement: Focusing on reducing net greenhouse gas emissions.

Circular Connection Movement: Aiming for zero landfill waste and promote circular economy models.

Mind in Focus Movement: Addressing social stigma related to mental health.

We are part of a national initiative driving a low-carbon and sustainable port economy.

ESG Manifesto of the Port of Santos

Climate Transition

Our goal is to achieve Net Zero by 2040.

Emissions Management

The greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory is conducted following the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program and, since 2024, has been published in the Public Emissions Registry. In 2025, we received the Gold Seal, recognizing the publication of a comprehensive inventory verified by an accredited Greenhouse Gas Inventory Verification Body (OVV) certified by Inmetro.
