Santos Brasil performs first high-place rescue simulation at Vila do Conde Port

The first simulated high-place rescue simulation at the Vila do Conde Port located in the municipality of Barcarena, Pará State, was carried out at the Santos Brasil container terminal on March 28. The action was supported by the local Fire Department.

During the exercise, a simulation of the rescue operation of an employee working on the warehouse roof at a height of nine meters for doing repairs on the reflector, who was suddenly struck ill and lost consciousness. The situation was controlled in 2 minutes, when first aid care began being administered. The employee´s removal was done under safe conditions and completed in 2 hours and 12 minutes, involving six Santos Brasil employees, ten firefighters and two professionals from OGMO, the Workforce Management Authority, who were responsible for the ambulance.
