Santos Brasil´s new Sustainability Report is available from today, in digital version, and features the actions carried out by the company last year, as well as its performance in the economic, social and environmental dimensions.
Concern for environmental preservation and occupational safety is highlighted in this Report. In 2016, the Company reduced its total water consumption (by 5.6%), its CO2 emissions per TEU (by 5.6%), its residue generation (by 33%), as well as accident frequency (by 1.2%) and severity (by 10%) in comparison with the previous year. In line with the market´s best governance practices, those indicators were further submitted to external verification by independent auditors. The information contained in the Report is in accordance with Version G4 of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines.
